Nominated for the 2023 Prix SVC Espace Mittelland Award.

We were extremely pleased and surprised to be nominated for the Prix SVC Mittelland 2023
A distinguished jury made up of representatives from the business, service and media sectors in the Espace Mittelland region selected 6 finalists out of 240 companies – and we were one of them! Nominations are based on a company’s performance, its formation and approach to sustainability. Innovation and strong regional rootedness are also particularly important factors in the jury’s decision. We are looking forward to the award ceremony at the Kursaal Bern on 15 March 2023... We know that our nomination is due to our colleagues who work tirelessly each day to make chefs happy and kitchens more profitable. We are very grateful for their continuous efforts.

Cool to go – take-away and delivery with System.

The figures painted a clear picture before the coronavirus pandemic began: The number of households of one to two people who no longer cook on weekdays continues to grow and is set to do so until 2035. This means delivery services are booming. The pandemic has boosted this trend. However, this doesn’t mean that people just want pizza. They like fast, healthy, varied and locally sourced food that is prepared using natural means and does not contain artificial preservatives. They buy their evening meals at lunchtime or order them online. For restaurateurs, this means additional sales can be made without the need for additional service staff or table service. It is also easier to make better use of the kitchen crew despite limited space. That's why Hugentobler has put together a modular start-up package in partnership with the GastroPerspektiv coaches – the “Cool to go” – take-away and delivery with System. “Cool to go” overcomes the problems associated with running hot food lines and utilises the numerous advantages of cold food lines. It helps restaurateurs to immediately generate additional sales. The modular system includes recipe-based dishes, label printing with declarations and instructions for consumers, packaging for hot and cold dishes, implementation and support by coaches, as well as a shop solution for company websites. Ale Mordasini is the “Goldener Koch 2019”

Ale Mordasini from the Krone Hotel in Regensberg, canton of Zurich, made it through the semi-final, and in the final he obtained the highest points for his fish course and ultimately won “Goldener Koch 2019”, Switzerland’s premier cookery competition. At the end of the final the quiet, precise worker took receipt of his Hold-o-mat 411 “Gold Edition”. Hugentobler supplied six identical, state-of-the-art kitchens in the Kursaal, Bern, for Switzerland’s biggest cookery competition.
